About Rick Schmidt

 

Has been spinning 45’s since the 70’s and has seen the transition of Vinyl to Cassettes later to CD’s and has survived the “electronic age” of mastering a laptop. He is familiar with every Genre of music and keeps himself “current” by listening to the Music of Today via radio or having discussions with his grandkids or his High School Students on what is popular as of now. He has done events from Block Parties, Pools and Parks to all different Catering Halls in Philadelphia, Montgomery and Bucks Counties and various areas of Jersey including the “Night in Venice” party in Ocean City. Rick believes in making his clients relaxed and comfortable and if the party he is doing carries a “special” theme, he will dress for the occasion. Rick has NO PROBLEM getting on the dance floor with his mic attached and gives dance instruction to the novice partier to keep the party entertaining and a good time for all.

Started working with his dad in the early nineties and his specialty is entertaining all party goers. He does parties on his own as well but when it comes to large groups, he works very well along side of Rick to MC or coordinate whatever is needed on the dance floor. This “expertise” is very useful at weddings and anniversaries where his involvement is necessary to keep all events on schedule and the evening moving smoothly. Being a dad also helps him in working children’s parties as there are many a time when doing a Pool or Kid party (age 6 to 12), RJS Entertainment is asked to organize games to keep the “younger” crowd occupied. He loves working the crowd and goes home satisfied at the end of a job if everyone had a good time.
